Earthing & Lightning MTO

This course provides practical knowledge of preparing Material Take-Off (MTO) for earthing and lightning protection systems used in industrial and commercial projects. Participants learn how to identify and quantify materials required for complete earthing installations based on engineering drawings and design requirements. The course covers earthing conductors, cables, electrodes, earth pits, clamps, connectors, and related accessories. It also explains the preparation of MTO for lightning protection systems, including air terminals, down conductors, test links, and earth termination components. Participants learn how to read earthing and lightning protection layouts and extract material quantities accurately. The course introduces standard material descriptions, sizes, specifications, and quantity calculations used in project documentation. It covers cable and conductor selection from drawings and equipment connection requirements. Participants also learn how to identify cable accessories and other installation materials required for construction. Practical approaches to organizing MTO sheets and avoiding quantity omissions are discussed. By the end of the course, participants can prepare clear and project-ready Earthing & Lightning MTO documents.
