Engine Electronics & Management Systems

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of engine electronics and electronic management systems used in modern automotive applications. Participants learn the fundamentals of electronic engine control and the role of sensors, actuators, and control units. The course covers Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and their architecture, functions, and communication with various engine components. Participants understand fuel injection, ignition control, air–fuel ratio management, and electronic throttle control. The course introduces engine sensors such as temperature, pressure, oxygen, position, and airflow sensors. It explains actuator operation and their integration with engine management systems. Participants learn about diagnostic systems, fault detection, and On-Board Diagnostics (OBD). The course also covers CAN communication and networking between automotive electronic control modules. Practical aspects of engine performance monitoring, emission control, and electronic calibration are discussed. The course helps participants understand the integration of electronics, embedded systems, control strategies, and engine technologies in modern vehicles.
