We are looking for an experienced Senior Purchase Executive to independently manage procurement activities and vendor relationships for our fabrication and manufacturing operations. The role will focus on timely procurement, cost optimization, vendor development, and ensuring uninterrupted production.
What you'll do
The core responsibilities expected from this role.
Manage procurement of raw materials, fabrication materials, consumables, tools, and other production requirements.
Source MS/SS plates, sheets, pipes, angles, channels, sections, fasteners, welding consumables, and related materials.
Develop new vendors and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
Obtain and evaluate quotations and prepare detailed rate comparisons.
Negotiate price, quality, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Coordinate closely with Production, PPC, Quality, Stores, and Accounts departments.
Verify material specifications, quantities, BOMs, drawings, and delivery requirements.
Handle urgent procurement requirements to prevent production delays.
Monitor pending orders and ensure timely closure with vendors.
Drive cost reduction and alternate vendor development initiatives.
Maintain accurate vendor records, quotations, comparative statements, POs, MIS, and other procurement documentation.
Use ERP and MS Excel for purchase tracking and reporting.
