Principal Naval Architect – Offshore (Construction Support)

The Principal Naval Architect will lead naval architecture and marine engineering activities, supporting offshore construction, installation, and load-out operations. The role involves working on major offshore structures such as jackets, topsides, FPSOs, and offshore platforms.

Minimum Requirements

• 15–25 years of experience in offshore naval architecture or marine engineering

• Strong experience in offshore oil & gas construction support

• Proven track record in:

  • Jackets and topsides

  • FPSO and offshore platforms

• Hands-on experience in load-out, transportation, and installation engineering

• Strong understanding of marine operations and offshore project execution

1. Lead naval architecture design and engineering analysis for offshore structures

2. Provide construction support engineering for:

   • Jackets

   • Topsides

   • FPSO modules

   • Offshore platforms

3. Perform and review:

   • Load-out analysis

   • Float-off and float-over studies

   • Transportation and installation analysis

   • Ballasting calculations and stability analysis

4. Develop seafastening design and perform grillage calculations

5. Conduct lifting, rigging, and heavy lift studies

6. Perform hydrodynamic and motion analysis for offshore structures

7. Support fabrication yard activities and resolve site engineering issues

8. Coordinate with fabrication, project, and marine warranty teams

9. Ensure compliance with international standards such as DNV, ABS, and API

10. Review and approve engineering deliverables from vendors and subcontractors
