We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components, equipment, and systems while ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and compliance with engineering standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on innovative engineering projects across manufacturing, automation, and industrial applications.
What you'll do
The core responsibilities expected from this role.
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and products based on project requirements.
Create and maintain 2D drawings, 3D models, and detailed engineering documentation using CAD software.
Review design specifications and ensure compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, procurement, and project teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
Participate in design reviews and implement design improvements based on technical feedback.
Support prototype development, testing, validation, and product optimization.
Ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality and safety standards.
Maintain design revisions and engineering documentation in accordance with company procedures.
Preferred Skills
Experience in machine design, industrial automation, robotics, or special purpose machines (SPM).
Basic knowledge of simulation and analysis tools such as ANSYS is an added advantage.
Exposure to prototype development, product validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
