NDT Engineer (Fresher)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and safety-conscious NDT Engineer (Fresher) to join our inspection team. The candidate will assist in performing non-destructive testing (NDT) to evaluate the integrity of materials, components, and structures without causing damage. This role is ideal for recent graduates interested in quality control, inspection, and industrial safety.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in:

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Metallurgical Engineering

  • Production Engineering

• 0–1 year experience (Freshers can apply)

• NDT Level I certification (preferred)

1. Assist in performing NDT inspections using techniques like UT, RT, MT, PT, and VT

2. Support inspection of welds, pipelines, pressure vessels, and structural components

3. Interpret and record test results and inspection reports

4. Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, API, etc.)

5. Assist in calibration and maintenance of NDT equipment

6. Follow safety procedures and radiation safety norms (for RT)

7. Coordinate with quality and production teams for inspection scheduling

8. Maintain proper documentation and traceability records

Technical Skills Required

• Basic knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods

• Familiarity with techniques:

  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

  • Radiographic Testing (RT)

  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

  • Dye Penetrant Testing (PT)

  • Visual Testing (VT)

• Understanding of welding processes and defects

• Knowledge of inspection codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO)

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols

• Basic knowledge of material properties and metallurgy

• Familiarity with inspection documentation and reporting
