SolidWorks Design Engineer (Fresher)

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented SolidWorks Design Engineer (Fresher) to join our design team. The candidate will be responsible for creating 3D models, 2D drawings, and supporting product development activities using SolidWorks. This role is ideal for recent graduates who want to build a career in mechanical design and product engineering.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)

• 0–1 year experience (Freshers can apply)

• Create 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks based on design requirements

• Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T standards

• Assist in design modifications and engineering change requests (ECRs)

• Work closely with production and quality teams for design validation

• Perform basic calculations and design checks for components

• Maintain proper documentation and version control of designs

• Support prototype development and testing activities

• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and company guidelines

Technical Skills Required

• Proficiency in SolidWorks (Part, Assembly, Drawing modules)

• Basic knowledge of Engineering Drawing & GD&T

• Understanding of manufacturing processes (casting, machining, sheet metal)

• Familiarity with BOM (Bill of Materials) creation

• Basic knowledge of materials and tolerances

• Exposure to AutoCAD (optional but preferred)

• Basic MS Excel and documentation skills
