Course details

This course introduces the DC Circuit, also known as a Direct Current Circuit, which is one of the most important foundations of electrical and electronics engineering.It is specially designed for first-year engineering students to build strong basic concepts.You will learn the basic elements of DC circuits, including resistance, current, voltage, and power.The course clearly explains Ohm’s Law and how it is applied to real electrical circuits.You will understand potential difference and how current flows in a closed circuit.Important laws such as Kirchhoff’s Current Law (KCL) and Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law (KVL) are covered in a simple way.
The difference between ideal and practical voltage and current sources is explained with examples.You will study source transformation and star–delta (Y–Δ) transformation for circuit simplification.The course covers DC network analysis methods like mesh analysis, nodal analysis, super-mesh, and super-node.
You will also solve problems using network theorems such as Superposition, Thevenin’s, Norton’s, and Maximum Power Transfer theorem.
