Breaking down the abstractions around sensors, loops, and panels made the material click faster than most beginner courses. The ISA‑5.1 tag naming exercise in the P&ID chapter stuck, especially the moment where a bad tag cascades into wiring mistakes; it felt like tracing a flaky PR through a repo. As someone trying to map theory to prod realities, the control loop walkthrough tied specs to arch and infra decisions without overcomplicating it, and the bit on 4–20 mA vs HART was concrete. mostly liked the pacing, though I wasn't sold on how briefly safety interlocks were handled; a bit more on edge cases during commissioning would've helped. The examples translate cleanly to obs and troubleshooting, even if the k8s/CI analogies were mine rather than the instructor’s. It ends up clarifying where beginners usually trip, particularly when requirements change late and RPS-like constraints show up.
