Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Design and develop SPMs and welding fixtures as per customer/product requirements.
Study and understand product drawings, welding requirements, and cycle time targets.
Prepare concept layouts, detailed drawings, and BOM (Bill of Materials).
Create 3D models, assembly drawings, and detailed part drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, etc.).
Work closely with production, machining, and assembly teams to ensure manufacturability and ease of assembly.
Involve in fixture tryout, debugging, and validation during trials and commissioning.
Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for bought-out components.
Incorporate feedback from shop floor and customers into design improvements.
Follow design standards, GD&T practices, and safety norms in all designs.
