Plant Head/GM Operations

The Plant Head / GM Operations will be the strategic driver of all operational functions of all the factories. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced leader to optimize workflows, ensure timely project execution, and improve profitability through streamlined operations across Tenders, Design, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Project Delivery.

Qualifications s Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial); MBA or PG in Operations will be given due preference.

• 20+ years of experience in manufacturing / engineering industries, with at least 5 years in a senior operations role.

• Proven track record in managing large-scale fabrication or industrial machinery projects.

• Deep understanding of OEM standards, public sector tendering, and project-based manufacturing.

• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work and deliver under pressure / challenging situations.

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations in the Factories and ensuring departmental efficiency and high performance, including manpower management.

• Overseethefulllifecycleofprojectsfromreceivingtodelivery,ensuringtimelyandprofitable execution.

• Coordinate with design, procurement and manufacturing teams to align project goals and delivery schedules.

• Maintain compliance with quality standards and client-specific requirements.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes and resource utilization.

• Developandmonitorperformancemetrics,KPIs,andprofitabilitytargets.

• Liaise with senior leadership to align operational strategies with business goals.

• Ensure robust after-sales support, including installation, commissioning, warranty, and AMC services.

• Assess various in-house processes and map the organization to utilize the resources for maximum efficiency and output.

• Implement proper documented manufacturing systems, SOPs using ERPs or manually.

• Implement Productivity, Quality & Lead-time improvement projects.
