One challenge was keeping up during the CAD-based schematic work. Moving from concept to a clean, standards‑compliant drawing in EPLAN took more effort than expected, especially around wire numbering and terminal planning. That said, struggling through that part mirrored real project pressure more than a polished demo would have. The most practical takeaway was a clearer method for panel layout—spacing, heat dissipation, and grounding decisions now feel intentional instead of rule-of-thumb. The safety modules, especially LOTO and grounding practices, directly apply to both refinery panels and automotive assembly cells where audits are common. This wasn’t abstract theory; it lined up with panels I’ve actually had to troubleshoot during commissioning. I can see this being useful in long-term project work.
