We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Operator responsible for supporting day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of plant machinery and equipment.
What you'll do
The core responsibilities expected from this role.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine inspection, preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Monitor equipment performance and identify mechanical abnormalities.
Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime.
Handle maintenance of pumps, motors, compressors, gearboxes, valves, conveyors and other rotating/mechanical equipment.
Carry out lubrication, alignment, fitting and basic mechanical repair activities.
Assist in installation, dismantling and replacement of mechanical components.
Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and equipment issues.
Follow safety procedures, SOPs and maintenance standards at all times.
Coordinate with the maintenance team and other departments for smooth plant operations.
Candidate Requirements
Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience: 1–4 years in mechanical maintenance/plant maintenance preferred.
Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment, tools and maintenance practices.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns effectively.
Knowledge of workplace safety and maintenance procedures.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Candidates with experience in manufacturing/industrial plants will be preferred.
