About this role
What you'll be doing day-to-day.
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Trainer in Chiller Systems to join our training faculty. In this role, you will design and deliver hands-on, practical training modules for mechanical engineers, facility managers, and HVAC technicians.
You will guide professionals through the full life cycle of chiller plant systems—from sizing, selection, and design integration to operational management, water treatment, efficiency benchmarking, and troubleshooting.
What you'll do
The core responsibilities expected from this role.
Lead interactive live or online training sessions on air-cooled and water-cooled chiller technologies (centrifugal, screw, scroll, and absorption chillers).
Teach equipment sizing, compressor selection, refrigerant considerations, and thermal load calculations for central cooling plants.
Train participants on chiller plant design integration, including primary/secondary vs. variable primary pumping configurations, cooling tower selection, and hydronic piping design.
Develop real-world calculation exercises, chiller selection case studies, and assessment quizzes.
Mentor engineers and technicians on applying ASHRAE/AHRI standards to optimize chiller plant performance and lower operational costs.
