The Advanced Textile Printing Technology course provides an in-depth understanding of modern textile printing processes, materials, machinery, and emerging innovations used in the textile and fashion industry. The course integrates principles of textile science, color chemistry, surface engineering, and digital technologies to explain how patterns and colors are permanently applied to textile substrates with high quality, precision, and sustainability.
The course begins with a review of fundamentals of textile fibers, yarns, fabrics, and color theory, establishing a strong base for advanced printing applications. Learners then study conventional printing methods such as block, roller, and screen printing, followed by advanced techniques including rotary screen printing, transfer printing, and digital inkjet printing. Special emphasis is placed on print paste formulation, dye–fiber interactions, fixation mechanisms, and post-printing treatments.
The course also covers process optimization, quality control, defect analysis, and sustainability practices in textile printing. Emerging trends such as functional printing, smart textiles, eco-friendly inks, and Industry 4.0 applications are introduced. Practical exposure through case studies, production workflows, and troubleshooting strategies helps learners connect theory with industrial practice.
By the end of the course, learners acquire the technical and analytical skills required to design, execute, and manage advanced textile printing operations in a competitive global market.
